New Magnetic Wonder debuted at #9 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart week of release, and rose to #45 on the Top Independent Albums chart this week. New Magnetic Wonder is also receiving glowing accolades from the press. Here’s what the press is saying about the album: "...Its 24 tracks snap and crackle with Schneider’s sugary, peerless pop." - Andy Greenwald, Entertainment Weekly "...New Magnetic Wonder couldn’t be brighter if it had been performed on the sun." - Josh Modell, Spin "New Magnetic Wonder is full of bright melodies that veer between the Beach Boys and the Kinks, and a guitar-keyboards-drums sound that bounces between hard-rocking, bubbly and lush." - Christian Hoard, Rolling Stone "New Magnetic Wonder can make a claim to be the definitive AIS album." - Pat Long, Uncut "Head Apples in Stereo chief and sunshine popmeister Robert Schneider makes an ambitious return to form on New Magnetic Wonder, a suite-happy 24-track meanderer that recalls the Elephant 6 collective of yore." - Jesse Jarnow, Relix "Boasting 24 songs (if you count the dreamy interludes), it’s a hyperactive fusion of fuzzy indie rock and surreal bubblegum, splashed with colors bright enough to glow in the dark." - Doug Wallen, Harp |
