New Orleans rockers The Radiators will celebrate their 30th anniversary by doing what they do best, hitting the road. The five original members, Ed Volker, Dave Malone, Camile Baudoin, Reggie Scanlon and Frank Bua will kick off their 30th year together with two traditional anniversary shows at the legendary Tipitina’s in New Orleans on January 25th and 26th. After a couple more local shows in New Orleans the band hits the road for the first leg of the year long celebration on February 22nd in Charlotte, NC and will continue through a March 8th date in Huntington, NY. The band will return to the road with a Colorado swing beginning on March 26th in Vail that will run through April 6th. Then it’s back to New Orleans for a run of club shows during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival which will culminate with the band doing their traditional closing Sunday set on May 4th at The Fairgrounds.

The Rads recently re-issued 5 of their classic CDs on their own imprint, Radz Records, through award winning Redeye Distribution. In addition the band is currently putting together a 30th Anniversary Retrospective titled Wild & Free. The planned 2 disc set, also on Radz and distributed by Redeye, will include unreleased rarities, live versions of classic Rads songs and will also include some new material. Projected release is for the spring of 2008.
