Twenty-four-year-old soul phenom Eli "Paperboy" Reed and his seven-piece band The True Loves have confirmed an upcoming cd release show, May 8 at Joe’s Pub in Manhattan. They'll be performing songs from Reed's first collection of originals 'Roll With You,' set for April 29 release on Q Division Records.

The New York Times recently proclaimed that Reed “invokes the stylish and muscular R&B of Otis Redding and Sam Cooke with convincing suavity” while The Village Voice said that Eli is “A wholehearted son of soul” and that “Amy Winehouse better watch her back.”
